Registration Process

Candidates interested in the GCITP certification must follow these steps:

  1. Online Registration:
    • Create an account and complete the demographic information via the candidate management system.
    • Provide details demonstrating fulfillment of eligibility and pre-requisite requirements.
    • Submit the application for review by the GCITP Program Management Office (PMO).
  2. Application Approval and Payment:
    • Upon approval of the application, candidates will be required to pay the exam fee of $650.
    • Payment is processed through NelNet, a third-party vendor. Detailed instructions for payment will be provided after the application is submitted.
  3. Scheduling the Exam:
    • The GCITP exam can be taken at Pearson VUE test centers or via OnVUE (online proctoring). Ensure your hardware and software meet the OnVUE requirements if opting for the online option.

Exam Preparation

To effectively prepare for the GCITP exam:

  • Review Essential Materials: Study the GCITP-Essential Body of Work (EBW) and the Essential Body of Knowledge (EBK). These documents outline the tasks and knowledge areas required for the certification.

Day of the Exam

  • Identification Requirements: Bring two forms of original, valid ID. One must be a primary ID (government-issued with photo and signature, such as a passport or driver’s license). The secondary ID should have a recognizable photo or signature.
  • Exam Details: The exam consists of 124 multiple-choice questions, to be completed within 135 minutes (2 hours and 15 minutes). An additional 15 minutes will be allocated for instructions, signing the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and a brief system tutorial.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

  • Rescheduling: You must reschedule or cancel your exam at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid a No-Show status. If you miss this deadline, you will need to reapply and pay the exam fee again.

To cancel or reschedule:

  1. Log into your candidate profile at cintglobal-gsx.learningbuilder.com.
  2. Select “My Cycle” and then “Continue Registration.”
  3. Click “Return to Pearson Vue” and find your exam appointment under “Upcoming Appointments.”
  4. Choose “Cancel” or “Reschedule” and confirm your changes.
