Important Update on Oracle Certification Exams: Transition to MyLearn Platform

As of September 1, 2022, Oracle University has transitioned to delivering all Oracle certification exams through its proprietary learning and exam delivery platform, MyLearn. This change marks a significant shift in how Oracle certifications are administered, offering a more streamlined and integrated experience for candidates.

Key Changes and Updates

  1. New Exam Registration Process:
    • Direct Registration: Candidates can now register directly for Oracle exams through their MyLearn account. Instead of using traditional vouchers, you will now use an Oracle Exam Attempt, which simplifies the process and eliminates the need for third-party voucher systems.
  2. Voucher Conversion:
    • Existing Pearson VUE Vouchers: If you have a valid Pearson VUE voucher (not expired or used), you can convert it to an Oracle Exam Attempt. This conversion must be completed before November 30, 2022. Use the Oracle Voucher Exchange Request Form for this process.
    • Note: This conversion policy does not apply to exams in Chinese and Japanese languages for Oracle Database, Java, and MySQL.
  3. Exam Administration:
    • General Exams: All Oracle exams, with the exception of those in Chinese and Japanese, will be administered online through Oracle’s MyLearn platform.
    • Chinese and Japanese Language Exams: For exams in these languages, the administration will continue through Pearson VUE, either online or at a test center.

  2. Minors:
    • Certification Agreement: Candidates under 18 must have a signed Oracle Certification Program Agreement Minor Parent/Guardian Signature Page. Submit this agreement to Oracle via the provided email address.
  3. Oracle Partner Network (OPN):
    • Expertise Credit: To receive OPN Expertise credit for your certifications, provide your company’s OPN Candidate ID number, business email address, and company name. For assistance, contact Oracle Partner Assistance at partnerhelp.oracle.com.
  4. Candidate Agreement:
    • Acknowledgment: Before taking the exam, acknowledge that you have read and will abide by the Oracle Certification Program Candidate Agreement terms.
  5. Export Restrictions:
    • Prohibited Territories: Oracle policy prohibits nationals from certain embargoed territories, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Sudan, from participating in Oracle certification exams.

Conclusion

The shift to Oracle’s MyLearn platform represents a significant enhancement in how Oracle certifications are managed and delivered. By integrating exam registration and preparation into a single platform, Oracle aims to provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience for certification candidates.
