Available Teradata Certification Exams

Teradata offers a range of certification exams tailored to different expertise levels and specializations. Here’s a quick overview of the exams you can take:

  • VantageCloud Lake 2.0: Registration opens May 1, with the first exam available starting May 8, 2024.
  • Associate 2.4 with Clearscape
  • Associate VantageCloud Lake: Last exam available until July 31, 2024.
  • Associate VantageCloud Lake (Japanese)
  • Associate 2.3: Last exam available until May 31, 2024.
  • Vantage Administration
  • Vantage Architecture: Last exam available until July 31, 2024.
  • Vantage Data Engineering
  • Vantage Analytics: Last exam available until July 31, 2024.
  • Vantage Data Science: Last exam available until July 31, 2024.

Registration and Account Creation

For Returning Certification Candidates:

  1. Create or Access Your Account:
    • Click on Create Account.
    • Indicate that you have previously taken a Teradata exam.
    • Enter the email address used for past testing. If you do not have this information, contact certification.teradata@teradata.com.
    • Enter your Teradata (TDC) Testing ID. If you do not know your ID, follow this link for assistance.
    Note: Accurate use of your Teradata Testing ID and email address is crucial to avoid delays and duplication in your exam results.

For New Certification Candidates:

  1. Create Your Pearson VUE Account:
    • Click on Create Account.
    • When asked if you have previously taken a Teradata exam, select “No”.
    • Complete the account creation process.
    Once your Pearson VUE account is created, you can sign in to schedule and manage your exams.

Exam Results, Certificates, and Fulfillment

Post-Exam Process:

  • Notice of Exam Completion: Immediately following your exam, Pearson VUE will provide a printed Notice of Exam Completion with a provisional result.
  • Official Results: These will be available from the Teradata Certification Tracking System within 21 days of your exam date.
  • Certificates and Digital Badges: Official certificates and digital badges will be available for download from the tracking system. Master Certification holders will receive their hard copy credentials by postal mail. Certified individuals will also receive an email from Acclaim to accept and share their digital badge.

Certification Policies and Candidate Agreement

Pre-Exam Requirements:

  • Administrative and Security Policies: Familiarize yourself with all relevant policies and the Candidate Agreement. Review these documents thoroughly before your exam date.

Digital Photo and Signature:

  • During the check-in process at Pearson VUE testing centers, a digital photo and signature will be captured. This data is stored securely in both the Teradata Certification Tracking System and Pearson VUE’s registration system to maintain the integrity of the certification process.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

  • Cancellation: To avoid forfeiting your exam fee, ensure that you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
  • No-Show: Failure to attend a scheduled exam without prior cancellation will result in the forfeiture of your exam fee.
