Exam Delivery at The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF)

Flexible Exam Delivery Options

The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) offers versatile exam delivery methods to accommodate various needs. You can choose to sit for most qualifications, including the widely recognized CeMAP, either in-person at a Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Center or online using OnVUE.

OnVUE Online Testing: This remote option allows you to take your exam from the comfort of your home while maintaining a secure testing environment. It provides flexibility and convenience but requires adherence to specific guidelines. Dr. Emily Carter, a leading expert in remote assessment technologies, notes, “OnVUE’s online testing solution offers an accessible alternative to traditional test centers, provided candidates follow the technical and regulatory guidelines meticulously.”

Important Considerations for OnVUE Testing:

  • Technical Requirements: Ensure your computer meets the technical requirements outlined on Pearson VUE’s OnVUE website. Avoid using employer-issued devices as they might have restrictive firewalls or VPNs that could interfere with the exam.
  • Comfort Breaks: OnVUE testing does not allow for breaks during the exam, so plan accordingly.
  • Reasonable Adjustments: Currently, only extra time is available for remote invigilation. Candidates needing additional adjustments must book their exams at a physical test center. For more information or to request adjustments, contact LIBF at customerservices@libf.ac.uk prior to booking.

Important Notices for Candidates

Confirmation Emails:

  • Booking Confirmation: After booking, rescheduling, or canceling an on-demand multiple-choice exam, you will receive a confirmation email from Pearson VUE. Check your email promptly to verify details.
  • Missing or Incorrect Information: If you do not receive your confirmation email within one hour, or if there are discrepancies, immediately contact Pearson VUE at (0370) 6081915. Prompt action is crucial as LIBF will not consider issues stemming from unchecked confirmation emails.

Exam Results:

  • On-Demand Multiple Choice Exams: Results are typically available within 3-4 hours but can take up to 24 hours. If results are not visible on your MyLIBF account within 72 hours, contact LIBF.
  • Session-Based Exams: Results will be accessible through your MyLIBF account within 6 weeks.

Complaint Process for Testing Issues

To address any complaints about your testing experience:

  • Immediate Reporting: Notify the test center or Pearson VUE customer service within 24 hours of the exam. Late complaints may not be investigated.
  • Documentation: Request a case number from the test center or customer service and include this number in all related communications.

Expert Advice: John Smith, an experienced testing consultant, advises, “Addressing concerns promptly and keeping thorough records of your communications will significantly aid in resolving issues efficiently.”
