About the QISP® Examination

The QISP® examination is tailored for information security professionals with one to five years of experience. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Examination Format:
    • Duration: 2 hours and 40 minutes
    • Questions: 100 multiple-choice and multiple-answer questions
    • Language: English
    • Delivery: Online through Pearson VUE
  • Content Domains:
    • The exam content aligns with AiSP’s Information Security Body of Knowledge (IS BOK) 2.0. This comprehensive framework encompasses critical areas in information security, ensuring that the certification is relevant and up-to-date with industry standards. Explore the IS BOK 2.0 domains here.
  • Eligibility:
    • Experience: 1 to 5 years in information security

Tip: While there are no formal prerequisites, candidates with relevant experience or training are better positioned to succeed in the QISP® examination.

Registration and Scheduling

How to Register:

  • Register for the QISP® examination through the Pearson VUE online portal. Ensure you complete your registration and scheduling promptly to secure your preferred examination date.

Retake Policy:

  • If you need to retake the exam, a cooling-off period applies. Check AiSP’s FAQs for specific details on retake eligibility and timing.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellation or Rescheduling:

  • Deadline: Notify Pearson VUE at least 24 hours before your scheduled exam time to cancel or reschedule.
  • Fees: Failure to reschedule or cancel within the stipulated time may result in the forfeiture of the examination fee.
  • Queries: For any issues or queries, contact Pearson VUE customer service directly.

Example: If your exam is scheduled for 2 January 2021, you must reschedule or cancel by 1 January 2021 to avoid forfeiture of the examination fee.

The QISP® certification is based on AiSP’s IS BOK 2.0, which builds upon its predecessor, BOK 1.0. BOK 1.0 was collaboratively developed by AiSP and the Institute of Systems Science at the National University of Singapore. The QISP® designation is a registered trademark of AiSP.
