About the DMCP® Examination

Examination Overview

The DMCP® exam is a comprehensive assessment intended for information security professionals in Singapore with one to five years of relevant experience. This two-hour and forty-minute online exam consists of 100 multiple-choice and multiple-answer questions, designed to test a broad range of knowledge as outlined in ADMEI®’s Information Security Body of Knowledge (IS BOK) 2.0. For detailed information on the exam content, please refer to the IS BOK 2.0 domains.

Eligibility and Preparation

While there are no formal prerequisites for taking the DMCP® exam, candidates are strongly encouraged to meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Experience: 1 to 5 years in destination management.
  • Formal Training: Completion of relevant cybersecurity training from an accredited educational institution.
  • Professional Certification: Holding certifications in related fields.

To apply for certification, candidates must complete the application process at ADMEI®’s certification page. Upon approval, candidates will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) Notice containing a Candidate ID# and Client Authorization ID#. These details are necessary to schedule the examination.

Exam Administration Options

Candidates have the flexibility to take the DMCP® exam in two formats:

  1. In-Person at an Exam Center: Exams are conducted at authorized test centers with stringent social distancing and sanitation protocols.
  2. Remotely-Proctored Online: Candidates can choose to take the exam from their own home or office using Pearson VUE’s OnVUE platform. This requires a computer with a webcam, microphone, and a stable internet connection.

For detailed instructions on setting up your computer for remote proctoring, please refer to the OnVUE system requirements.

Application and Scheduling

Applying for Certification

To begin the certification process, visit ADMEI®’s certification application page and complete the required forms. Ensure that your first and last names on the application match exactly with your government-issued ID to avoid discrepancies on exam day. If your details do not match, contact ADMEI® at admei@admei.org at least ten days before your exam.

Scheduling Your Exam

Once you have received your ATT Notice, you can schedule your exam via the Pearson VUE platform. To do this:

  • For In-Person Exams: Find a local test center through the Pearson VUE website.
  • For Online Exams: Select ‘Online at my home or office’ and ensure your computer meets the technical requirements.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your exam, please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid forfeiting your exam fee.

Exam Day Guidelines
