Thanks to advancements in online proctoring, you can now take your NCP exam conveniently from your home or office using Pearson VUE’s OnVUE online proctoring system. This option provides a secure and flexible way to achieve your certification, with a live proctor overseeing your exam via webcam to ensure integrity.

This rigorous exam is administered by ECCHO in collaboration with the Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) and Pearson VUE.

Examination Process

  1. Experience Requirement: Candidates should have at least two years of experience in the financial services industry.
  2. Preparation: Review recommended study materials and reference guides.
  3. Registration: Register with ECCHO and pay the applicable fees.
  4. Scheduling:
    • Pearson VUE Test Center: Schedule an in-person exam at a local Pearson VUE center.
    • OnVUE Online Proctoring: Alternatively, you can opt for the online proctored exam from your home or office.

Note: Scheduling for the 2024 exam will open on February 5, 2024. Appointments must be made at least one calendar day in advance, subject to availability.

Exam Scheduling and Preparation

1. Create Your Pearson VUE Account

  • Account Creation: After receiving your confirmation email from ECCHO, create a Pearson VUE account using your unique ECCHO ID. Ensure all personal details, including your legal name, match those on your government-issued ID to avoid issues on exam day.

2. Locate a Testing Center

  • Test Center: Log in to your Pearson VUE account to view available test centers and schedule your exam.

3. Prepare for Your Exam

  • Arrival: Arrive at the test center 30 minutes early with your confirmation email and ECCHO ID. Late arrivals (more than 15 minutes) may forfeit their exam and fees.

  • System Test: Ensure your computer and environment meet the OnVUE requirements by running the system test and exam simulation.

2. Scheduling Your Online Exam

  • Scheduling: Once prepared, log in to your Pearson VUE account to schedule your online proctored exam. Follow the instructions to ensure a smooth testing experience.

3. On Exam Day

  • Preparation: Set up your workstation according to OnVUE’s specifications and be ready for the proctor to monitor you via webcam.
