Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) Overview

The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT®) is a specialized admissions examination developed by Pearson to assess candidates seeking entry into pharmacy schools. Since its inception in 1974, the PCAT has been instrumental in helping pharmacy programs identify and select well-qualified students. The test evaluates essential academic skills and scientific knowledge required for successful completion of professional pharmacy education.

Importance of the PCAT

The PCAT is widely recognized for its effectiveness in predicting academic performance in pharmacy school and success on national licensure exams. Endorsed by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), it is considered the preferred admissions test for pharmacy schools across the United States.
