The C++ Institute Certifications: Pathways to Professional Recognition

The C++ Institute offers a structured certification program designed to validate your expertise in C and C++ programming. This program is divided into two distinct educational paths, each with two levels of certification:

  1. C Programming Language Path
    • Associate Level: CLA (C Language Associate)
    • Professional Level: CLP (C Language Professional)
  2. C++ Programming Language Path
    • Associate Level: CPA (C++ Associate Programmer)
    • Professional Level: CPP (C++ Professional Programmer)

To achieve a professional-level credential (CLP/CPP), candidates must first obtain the associate-level certification (CLA/CPA). This structured approach ensures a comprehensive understanding and proficiency in programming languages.

How to Find the Right Exam

The C++ Institute provides several certification exams to test candidates’ skills in C and C++ programming:

  • C Programming Language Exams: CLA and CLP
  • C++ Programming Language Exams: CPA and CPP
